Qualifications
Required Experience
The ECSE Birth-2 Teacher provides early intervention services to children ages birth through age 2 years 11 months with developmental delays and/or disabilities and their families. In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, this teacher will partner with and be a resource to families to help produce the best possible developmental outcomes for their infants and toddlers in the most natural learning environment.
Certification Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Related Field
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education
Work Experience: Preferred: Three or more years working in a related position.
Licensure/Certification: Preferred: MN Teaching Licensure in Early Childhood Special Education or willingness to obtain
Other Requirements
Assist in the completion of EC developmental screenings
Provide direct & indirect instruction services to infants and toddlers, ages birth through 2 years 11 months, and their families.
Provide input on curriculum and instruction development, selection, and implementation as requested
Work collaboratively with member districts to ensure smooth transitions into district programming
Actively participate in local EC committees as well as regional or state professional learning opportunities.
