Successful teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Certification Requirements
Applicants must meet the qualifications for appropriate Montana Certification and Endorsement or be in the process of becoming certified. The successful candidate must also pass a background check.
Other Requirements
Turner Public School has 53 students in grades K-12, with 10 teachers and 8 classified staff members. Most of our students live on large-scale production farms or ranches, and we have almost no behavioral issues. Our district operates on a 4-day week and continuously makes Adequate Yearly Progress. The district offers comprehensive educational offerings, as well as multiple co/extra-curricular activities for all students. We provide small class sizes and dual college credit in conjunction with the Montana University System.

What do People Like Most About This Area?
Turner is located in North Central Montana, twelve miles south of the Canadian border. We are an active rural community that is very supportive of education and school activities. The district offers housing, which is within walking distance of the school. For the first contract year, housing and utilities are rent-free and only $200 monthly for housing/utilities every year after that. Our teaching positions qualify us to receive the Quality Educator Loan Assistance of up to $3,000, $4,000 & $5,000 over three years.
