Qualifications

Required Experience

• Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement or ability to obtain. • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. • Highly qualified as determined by state criteria for secondary English Language Arts. • Must be able to speak, read and understand English.

Essential Functions and Characteristics:
• Possess a deep understanding of English Language Arts content (reading and writing) and be able to successfully implement the State ELA standards.
• Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop common assessments, analyze a variety of student data and work samples, and be willing to help develop/maintain a standards-based ELA program.
• Employ a variety of research based instructional strategies, technology and instructional media.
• Employ positive reinforcement and disciplinary techniques consistent with PBIS in order to create a class
