There are strong ties connecting I Am A Rural Teacher and Rural Schools Collaborative to Alabama. The University of West Alabama (UWA) serves as an operational hub, connecting our work to Alabama and the Black Belt regions of Mississippi and Georgia.
Haley Richardson embraces place as she’s chosen to stay in the same area that generations of her family have lived. With a deep sense of compassion towards her student, Haley wants to make one thing sure: “If they don’t get anything else from me, I want them to know that I love them.”
