Qualifications
Required Experience
Master's degree or higher and a valid Arizona Principal Certificate
Certification Requirements
• Five years K-8 site level administrative experience preferred.
• Five years’ experience as a classroom teacher in a public K-12 school.
• A personal letter of interest/introduction.
• A current resume.
• A completed application information form (online or district accepted).
• 3 current professional letters of reference.
Other Requirements
• Hold an Arizona Principals Certificate
• Have knowledge of the Arizona Academic Standards
• Be an instructional leader at the PK-6 grade levels
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate commitment to student achievement and school improvement
• Celebrate diversity within the school community
• Support 21st Century Learning and Teaching in the primary grades

Bagdad is located in the high deserts of central Arizona approximately 100 miles northwest of Phoenix / 60 miles west of Prescott. The town has had a direct relationship to local mining operations which have been ongoing since 1882 when the first claims were staked.
The Townsite (http://bagdadaztown.com) and the Bagdad copper/molybdenum mine are owned by Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold.
The town is home to approximately 2,500 residents, including mine employees and their families, school district personnel, and other local businesses.
