Teacher is inspired to teach online in other rural towns

I attended a small rural school and, through the sacrifice and generosity of dedicated teachers, I received a thorough K-12 education. I vowed to pay back that debt and began my F2F career in a small town in rural Kootenai County, Idaho. As the county grew to suburban status I began a 2nd career as an online teacher, reaching out to wherever the internet could be accessed. We can't spare a single useful human being, nor waste the potential of a single mind, regardless of where they are currently developing. I now share my love of the natural world with students who live in "towns" I have never seen or heard of. After 50 years of reaching out to under-served young folks, I feel that I have nearly paid my debt.
