At I Am A Rural Teacher, we love celebrating rural teachers with their community! Thanks to Lori Liggett for nominating Boone Bowker as an outstanding rural teacher. Know someone else that deserves a shoutout? Submit your nomination: http://bit.ly/iaartsubmit

Mr. Bowker is our 9-12 physical education teacher. Due to the pandemic we as most schools had to move to an alternative form of presentation for our students. PE can be a difficult class to present in any way other than face to face. Mr. Bowker put together a fun and interesting way to keeps students engaged in physical activity while at home and not in the classroom. His idea was shared with his alma mater Black Hills State University, they conducted an interview and published an article about his on-line activities, the article was also picked up by a couple of local television stations.
